Sparcstudio creates new ‘chic’ bedroom designs at Sopwell House Hotel
Following on from their design for the exclusive Sopwell House Mews Suites, & the award winning Cottonmill Spa, the creative team were enlisted to create a new room ‘Chic’ room category. Located over two floors in the main manor house, the scheme which was Inspired by the natural themes and palette of the Spa.
Beverley Bayes says: ‘’The brief was to create rooms with a contemporary glamorous country house feel that were both welcoming and restoring. The soft palette has a bright fresh feel, with a lighting scheme designed to ensure that the rooms are still cosy on a winter’s night’’
Bespoke upholstered furniture is soft and curvaceous and includes a chaise longue and tub chair with mohair cushions in pastel hues (made by RHA furniture) and oval shaped stone topped tables. The soft design note is also reflected in the backlit upholstered headboard with Concealed LED lighting which softly illuminate the customised vintage tree mural wall coverings and deco style panelling. The furniture & joinery includes fluted timber detailing and contemporary panelling on the feature headboard and wardrobes, manufactured by Wreake Valley Craftsmen to Sparcstudio’s design. Sparcstudio commissioned bespoke lighting for each of the rooms which was manufactured by Northern Lights.
When we decided we wanted to create luxurious bedrooms within our historic mansion house there was only ever one design company we would possibly use, and we love their work. This was a complicated refurbishment with most bedrooms requiring bespoke design and creative use of space and furniture, and we are delighted with the results – as are our guests
