The 16 ‘Mews Suites’ are housed in rustic farm and stable buildings, contained within a ‘secret garden’ set in the grounds of the 128 bedroom Sopwell House hotel. The individually designed suites, apartments and duplexes are accessed through secure gates and set within beautifully landscaped gardens.
Sparcstudio worked closely with RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold award winner Ann-Marie Powell, who created the stunning gardens, the centre piece of which is a communal alfresco lounge including a Hydrotherapy pool with waterwall and exquisite lighting after dark.
The layouts of the new Suites were designed by Sparcstudio to optimise the feeling of space and also to provide a feeling of a private bolt hole. Many of the suites are accessed via a private mini ‘spa garden’ some of which have their own exclusive cedar hot-tub.
The overall emphasis is on comfort; cosy features which reflect the scale of the buildings in which they are housed, such as welcoming feature fireplaces with bespoke designed bookcases and cosy niche seating – form the focal point of the lounge spaces. Others have four-poster beds with double-ended baths located by the fireside.
The walls are decorated with an eclectic mix of artwork and objects based around a ‘glamorous country’ look. The Suites are proving very popular with individual guests, parties or for corporate users where the whole of the Mews can be booked for a ‘sole use’ or an exclusive event.
We are very excited to have the new luxury Mews suites launching at Sopwell House. They will appeal to our high-end clientele and also reflect the quintessentially British flair of Sopwell House as a whole.
The new Mews Suites at Sopwell House totally blew me away. Ranged around an utterly gorgeous gated courtyard, the suites are so luxurious.
